You might be asking yourself: “Who are Pixel Roses?”
The truth is... when we started, we were building our skills and experience, but standing out in a world where "good enough" and the lowest cost meant lack of creativity and quality was a challenge.
We tried everything to come to terms with this because all we ever wanted was to use our creativity to provide unique photographic experiences that no one else could. However, we continued to learn and grow and believe in ourselves. A key step on our journey was learning a photographic process called compositing. This allowed us to unleash our creativity and to start to create uniques works for clients.
Then we got a real surprise! At Christmas time we began to see adverts for photographers who were simply sitting families in front of backdrops to take pictures. That’s when we realized we could offer so much more and our idea of immersive, artistic Themed Photo Stories was born.
Since then, we’ve been able to:

How do I book a Themed Photo Story session?
You can easily book your session online through our website’s booking form.
What should we wear for the photoshoot?
Choose outfits that match your chosen theme. We’ll provide guidance based on the story.
For Christmas themed Photo Stories we do recommend bringing clothes with a Christmas theme. For snowy outdoor scenes, we recomment winter clothing including coats, hats, scarves and suitable footwear. The clothing helps ensure a level of "authenticity" in the final image.
Can I get a Photo Story from somewhere else?
There are a number of good family photographers in the region; some who will even offer Christmas shoots, using a backdrop or putting a christmas tree in a park or the desert. However, we have not found anyone yet that immerses families in creative scenes in the way that we do.
Can we choose our own theme or create a custom one?
Yes, you can choose from one of our catalogue themes or contact us should you require a custom theme.
What’s included in the photo story package?
A 45-minute photoshoot, editing, and one high-quality Photo Story delivered as a digital file is included within the fee. Additional Photo Stories, photos or products such as prints are optional.
How long will the photoshoot and editing process take?
The photoshoot lasts up to 45 minutes, and the final Photo Story image is ready within 5 working days.
Do you provide props or costumes or do we need to bring our own?
We encourage you to bring personal props and costumes to enhance your individual Photo Story story. We'd be happy to provide guidance based upon your chosen Photo Story.
Do you offer makeup or styling services for the shoot?
Yes, we offer makeup packages starting from AED 450 per person. Please get in touch should you wish to book makeup services.
Can we reschedule or cancel our session?
Yes, with advance notice. Check our terms for cancellation and rescheduling policies.
Is there an option to order framed prints or merchandise?
Yes, we offer various print and merchandise options, available for an additional fee.
How realistic will the final image look?
Our advanced photographic compositing techniques ensure you’re fully immersed in the scene, making it look authentic. This takes years of practice, skill and a studied eye to match details such as lighting colours, perspective and so on. That's why it takes several days for us to produce each final image.
Do you use A.I. to create these Photo Stories?
No. We're sure that it will get there, but Artificial Intelligence is not yet at a stage where we can take a photograph and use it to put you in one of our creative scenes and have it look realistic.
What makes your Themed Photo Stories different from other family photo sessions?
A Themed Photo Story from Pixel Roses is not a typical family photoshoot nor something you can find elsewhere. We combine our respective imaginations, a green screen and compositing techniques to place you inside a themed story, creating a magical experience and having lots of fun in the process. That's why our clients talk about the experience being unique and love seeing the final results on their walls.
How far in advance should we book to secure a session?
We are shooting Christmas Themed Photo Stories on the weekends only in the run up to Christmas 2024. Therefore we recommend booking 2 - 3 weeks in advance to secure your preferred date and time.
Is there a money-back or satisfaction guarantee?
We offer a satisfaction guarantee, including revisions or credit towards a future session.
Can I purchase additional digital files or prints after the shoot?
Yes, additional images and products can be purchased separately.
Do you offer discounts for the purchase of multiple Themed Photo Stories?
We do not offer discounts for the purchase of multiple Christmas Themed Photo Stories currently due to the individual setup and time taken to create each image.
Can you also take "normal" family photos whilst we're at your studio?
Yes we can. However, these are not included within the Themed Photo Stories package and will be available for a separate fee. Please let us know your requirements and we can discuss.
Do you provide un-edited images?
We do not provided un-edited or what is known as "raw" images or files.
